Who speaks for the child?

There are three people involved whenever a woman finds herself
pregnant and deciding whether to kill the child in the womb or not;
the mother, the father, and the baby. Liberal courts have of course
given women all the say they wish. Men, despite having little legal
recourse, can still make their voices heard. The baby, however, has no
voice at all when it comes to deciding whether it will live or die.
Despite the bias exhibited by liberal atheists towards clergymen,
these same clergymen should be appointed as guardians of the child
while the mother is pregnant. Children need and deserve a voice.

That only shows how lowly and stupid you understand God's work. Without
breath, there can be no heartbeat. Since babies in the worm do beat
their hearts strongly and independently, it shows Gods' work happened
long before the baby is born. You lose.

It's either a brain fart or my forger is having a little fun.

It's more likely to be the former. I was probably reading the prejudicial nonsense about killing a child while I was typing. Sometimes, trying to multitask can lead to hilarious results.

So, allow me to correct:

There is no baby until birth.

If you are going to quote a vile old cunt like Mother Teresa, nobody's going to give a fuck what you say. You already have given evidence that you are either crazy or a sadist. The whole holocaust denial bullshit doesn't help. Then there's quoting that fat fuck Donohue from the Catholic League.

There's really is no reason to give a fuck what you say.

BTW giving a woman the right to terminate a pregnancy is simply the right to control one's own life. Expecting every woman to give birth to every accidental pregnancy is deny that right. In rape cases, it is torture and violation twice.

Of course, the tissue mass growing into a person doesn't have a say, the person carrying that tissue mass has precedence because that person is already here and has a life And will be responsible for supporting a life she may not be able to afford.

You want the power to ruin the lives of women and their unwanted children as well. You ARE a sadist.

There are three people involved whenever a woman finds herself
pregnant and deciding whether to kill the child in the womb or not;
the mother, the father, and the baby.

Whether, and when, the law should treat a product of conception
as a legal person is the proper way to state the issue. Even if
we were decide that a late-term fetus, one which, if delivered
prematurely could survive, and is physiologically similar enough
in terms of mental development to a born child that it can be
said to have an individual consciousness, the situation then as
regards abortion would be that of a conflict of rights. The
pregnant woman can't be required, for example, to risk her life
taking a risky pregnancy to term.

Early-term zygotes and embryos are not developed enough to feel
pain, let alone think. Unless you are informed by a religious
tradition that believes unborn "persons-to-be" have been issued
souls in utero, even before brains have developed enough to be
distinct individuals, treating them as anything other than _potential_
persons is silly. Not all religious traditions do that. Some
atheists are "pro-life" as those in favor of restrictive abortion
laws would name it.

http://www.secularprolife.org/

http://www.prolifehumanists.org/

Their position is not mine, but I respect them as intellectually
honest people, not cradle theists programmed to accept a dogma.

If I thought embryos, zygotes and young fetuses were "babies,"
I'd stand with them. I don't think the science backs them up.

"Does it have a pulse?" doesn't prove personhood.
"Has it ever been able to think?" is my standard.
At the end of life, we use brain death as a standard
for ending extraordinary care. The same at the start
of life would be plausible.

By that point the mother has endured the vomitting, the aching back, the
clumsiness of the change of centre of mass, circulation problems in her legs,
and all that, and still values the baby more than temporary discomfort and risk
of death or permanent injury. The only reasons I've heard of for aborting then
is because the child is already dead or dying and continuing risks the mother's
life or reproductive ability.

Families that have a late term abortion need all the comfort the world can
muster.

Fuck, man. Some couples are deeply committed to each and their children before
and after birth. They don't want a death in their family, not even an early term
miscarriage, and have a hard enough time coping without a bunch of fucking
assholes screaming at them. Systems like christianity emphasise nonjudgemental
compassion--you never really know what another person is going through. Give
them what you can spare so we don't create a hell on earth. If you believe in a
god, let them in their greater knowledge bless or curse what they choose.

Explain what?

Since 1973, when Roe v. Wade was decided, over 57 million babies have
been denied the right to life. This tragedy is a devastating mark upon
our culture, and even more sickening is that there is an entire
industry profiting from each child killed in the womb.

Roe v. Wade declared that an unborn baby is not a person.

What we need to work towards: Society recognizes the human dignity of
unborn babies.

The Court held that a woman's right to an abortion fell within the
right to privacy (recognized in Griswold v. Connecticut) protected by
the Fourteenth Amendment. The decision gave a woman total autonomy
over the pregnancy during the first trimester and defined different
levels of state interest for the second and third trimesters. As a
result, the laws of 46 states were affected by the Court's ruling.

Norma McCorvey, who identified herself as “Roe” in the landmark case,
ultimately admitted in her book I Am Roe that, upon advice from
feminist lawyers, she had lied she had been raped and was seeking an
abortion. In addition, McCorvey, who died in February, said she has
actually never had an abortion, and had placed her baby up for
adoption. She later became a Christian and a pro-life advocate.

+ Do you need any more explanation of this horror?

The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However,
there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly
clear what God’s view of abortion is. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God
knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of
God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus
21:22-25 prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the
death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This
clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be as human
as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of
a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a
human being made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27; 9:6).

Over 95 percent of the abortions performed today involve women who
simply do not want to have a baby. Less than 5 percent of abortions
are for the reasons of rape, incest, or the mother's health at risk.
Even in the more difficult 5 percent of instances, abortion should
never be the first option. The life of a human being in the womb is
worth every effort to allow the child to be born.

The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However,
there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly

Like all Christians, you pick and choose which verses to follow, to form your
own personal religion.

1. There is no verifiable evidence of any god(s).
2. Extortion (Believe or Burn) is *THE* foundation of Christianity.
3. Intolorance, divisivness, hate, war are major history and hallmarks of Christianity.
4. Christians each make up their own personal version of Christianity so
they can avoid facing the truly evil parts of their god/religion.

Then you have no reason to condemn gays because Jesus never said a word about them. So you're deferring to the Old Testament when it's convenient for you.

And, of course, as has been posted here many times, the only mention of abortion in the bible is a requirement that a woman accused of adultery must have one just to make sure she's not pregnant. Probably wise to keep paternal conflicts out of small communities.

sin except by the love of Jesus Christ. Only the love of Jesus Christ

There are three people involved whenever a woman finds herself
pregnant and deciding whether to kill the child in the womb or not;
the mother, the father, and the baby. Liberal courts have of course
given women all the say they wish.
The Supreme Court of Roe v Wade was dominated
by Republicans. The author of the ruling was a
Republican. The Court has been controlled by
Republicans for the last 45 years and in that time
as kept abortion legal in case after case. So where
does this "liberal courts" idea come from?
The 9th court in San Fran.
Most of their liberal whinings are overturned.
...by the CONSERVATIVE US Supreme Court.
The same court that created legal abortion
and has kept it legal for 45 years.
Do explain.
Explain what?
Why a Supreme Court packed with conservatives
is "liberal" when it comes to abortion.

There are three people involved whenever a woman finds herself
pregnant and deciding whether to kill the child in the womb or not;
the mother, the father, and the baby. Liberal courts have of course
given women all the say they wish.
The Supreme Court of Roe v Wade was dominated
by Republicans. The author of the ruling was a
Republican. The Court has been controlled by
Republicans for the last 45 years and in that time
as kept abortion legal in case after case. So where
does this "liberal courts" idea come from?
The 9th court in San Fran.
Most of their liberal whinings are overturned.

When your Bible requires it, sure.

Don't you believe in following your Bible?

Kill Homosexuals
(Leviticus 20:13)

Death for Hitting Dad
(Exodus 21:15)

Death for Cursing Parents
(Leviticus 20:9)

Death for Fornication
(Leviticus 21:9)

Kill Girls Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night
(Deuteronomy 22:20-21)

Kill Followers of Other Religions.
(Deuteronomy 13:7-12)

You have rejected Jesus. You are not christian. I didn't say catholics aren't
christian. If you say catholics must reject Jesus, then your kind of catholic is
not christian. However given Duke is also heretic in rejecting a patriarch and a
prophet, neither of you is a good advertisement for the roman church.

Given you are a heretic, I'm not surprised you are reject and cite Mosaic Law as

You specific said, those laws do not apply of the old testament.
LABELING THEM JEWS, as if that is not the same Church. Well then,
what protects you from Sodom and Gomorrah to steal your children and
rape them. ? You yourself, do not understand Jesus. Nor the Supreme
Court. I understand why you do not understand the Supreme Court, but
I do not understand why you do not understand the jews or legitimate old
law. The only reason the Jews did not handle that old law correctly, is
because they were hot heads. Extremists. It does not mean the law is
not to be exercised of anymore. That is just more extremism. Yet, the
Apocalypse is clear that this war would be here and it is written in
God's Holy Bible and it is here. Yet you want to declare it wrong. And
that is what makes you a heretic Patrick.

Him. This is true fact. And you know Jesus is God. Yet, you declare
yourself a catholic, and do not pray for any of the virtues
of the true Catholic Church. Just your own Church. Novus Ordo pagans.
So that you may understand it in true knowledge of ignore it. And Jesus
never told you to do that. Yet it gives no one the right to kill a
innocent child.

Unless, one knows, it will be raised in the heathen as a warmonger
against Christians. Witches are here, and they want to kill the catholic
faith. They are Antichrists. Francis in Rome is one of them. And me, I
will shoot to kill them, because this is what they do. And because God
told us to do so. And you will call me, a pagan for it, as they called
my Lord of the same thing. Yet, it does not make it true.

But in the more so, those children who go and get an abortion, then
go home to mommy, and say, Im sorry. I could not bring myself to having
the child, same as in someone saying, they know who is christian and who
is not in the Apocalypse, is like a sour dream of Jesus that was nailed
upside down on the cross. This also is not true. It was only Peter
that was. So you go ahead, and keep it up, the true Catholic Church
is still here and just spoken, and we will support what God had told us
to do. Unlike all of you that want to erase the laws so to have your own
pagan jolly's of an attack on the true altar of Christ.

You specific said, those laws do not apply of the old testament.
LABELING THEM JEWS, as if that is not the same Church. Well then,
Gentile christians are not required to obey Mosaic Law, the part that begins
with ten commandments. Gentile christians are expected to obey Noahide Law which
is much shorter. In Genesis it is the first law given to people, to Noah after
the flood. Since Noah stands for all people, all people are required to obey.
Moses only stands for Hebrews, so only Hebrews are required to obey Mosaic Law.

It's hypocritical however for gentile christians to demand some of Mosaic Law be
obeyed but then ignore the parts that are inconvenient.

Patrick's heresy is specific to christians in he denies the instructions and
resurrection of Jesus as reported in the gospels. He denies the quoted text from
Matthew 10 and claims Jesus is not inspiring and teaching people to this day.

Go have your inter-denominational spats somewhere else.
You are both trolls in alt.atheism.

Is there any wonder we don't believe your nonsense? You
Christians have been killing each other and damning each
other to your non-existent hell for two millennia over
which books are allowed in the babble, which ones excluded,
what the various stories within actually mean and which ones
are binding on Christians v Jews.

If you had any sense you'd be all ecumenical sweetness and
light when you wandered in here and started violating the
group charter by proselytizing, and have your theological
knife fights behind closed doors.

Instead, you prove one thing to the atheists, agnostics
and other free thinkers here: you are, most of you, Loony Tunes.

I would say the concept of Heresy is used to look at other people as
less than Human or unworthy if they hold a different belief. Look at
how many people were murdered over the centuries by religion using
that word.

The horror of granting a woman the right to do with her body as she sees fit?
Oh, how horrible. What decisions were made in Roe v Wade still stand and Are still correct. The government should not be in the business of forcing women to have babies. There is nobody else who should have any say in the matter any more than there would be if a man decided to have a vasectomy and stop him from being able to cause a woman to be pregnant.

A person's body is their property and without the right to property no other rights are possible.

It's not that far from prohibiting abortion to going back to laws against certain sex acts, which are also no business of the government.

The choice is simple, safe legal abortions and the right to use one's body as one sees fit, or the slippery slope into government snooping into your bedroom.

Women have ALWAYS had abortions, probably back to the cave.

The ONLY choice is between safe and legal abortions (as few as possible with the use of effective birth control) or unsafe and illegal abotions. Those are the only 2 options because women have always had abortions and always will.

So how about doing the one and only thing that decreases the number of abortions is proper medically sound sex education and effective, affordable birth control. Because people have sex, have always had sex, will always have sex, and trying to pretend they don't with stupid religious rules is a sucker's game.

Actually it's irrelevant whether it was the same woman or she later regretted
the decision. It happens that a few people later have moral qualms after winning
a case. It doesn't matter. Courts do not reopen old, settled cases because the
winner has regrets, and once a decision is made for one case, the decision
applies to everyone.

No, the dignity of the woman is more important. If she wants the possible baby, fine, that is her choice. If, for any reason, she doesn't want the possible

Nonsense. Start with the number of their opinions, the total number. Then see how often the higher court chooses to even review that court's rulings. The % reversed is only of the ones chosen for review, not of the total decisions.

Jesus never had an abortion, why should anyone else?

A woman has no right to speak for her child.

Only old, white, rightwing Christian male politicians and radical
Muslim clerics speak for the child. Them, and Virgin Catholic
Priests, some of whom have a penchant for Alter Boys.

Why should a woman have reproductive rights and speak for her
child when old, white, rightwing Christian male politicians and
radical Muslim clerics are far wiser and should have all the say.

There are three people involved whenever a woman finds herself
pregnant and deciding whether to kill the child in the womb or not;
the mother, the father, and the baby.
