Turkey killing the Russian rescue squad in cold blood is what will start the war to end all wars.
Downing a fighter jet is bad enough, but when you launch an anti-tank shell at the rescue squad after it landed is an all-out call for war. People will be saying "That's the incident that started this unimaginable war!" Those might be your last words.

I already didn't happen. Not that the incident itself was as simple as you pretend.

What you don't get is that people who want the end of the world, as you do, are in a very small minority. Even politicians are more sensible.

Which is true (and you don't often catch me saying anything positive
about politicians).

Unfortunately, sometimes events have a way of getting out of hand, of
politicians being overtaken by developments and unable to avert
catastrophe. Not many people, for instance, actively wanted World War
One to happen ... we pretty much sleepwalked our way into the slaughter.

Unfortunately, sometimes events have a way of getting out of hand, of
politicians being overtaken by developments and unable to avert
catastrophe. Not many people, for instance, actively wanted World War
One to happen ... we pretty much sleepwalked our way into the slaughter.

The Governments of virtually all the powers engaged in the start of WWI were corrupt as hell, some run by aristocrats and inbred monarchs, the rest by politicians who were open to bribery and payoffs, and all of them manipulated by industrialists who wanted war for the profits it guaranteed.

Politicians, for the most part, have made a pact with Satan. Greed and lust for power is what they've sold their soul for. And now that they see it's almost time to pay the fiddler for their dance, you can see the hollow look in their eyes, for they realize that they made the wrong choice. Just like Pilate and such when they realized that they murdered the King of Kings.

Both sides have recordings to support their conflicting narratives. The part of Syria adjacent to Turkey, where the plane actually crashed, has "rebels" of Turkish extraction. Everyone has their own dog in this fight.

There are many fake Christians, Pope Francis, Pat Robertson, Benny
Hinn, Fred Phelps was, as was John Calvin. So many it is hard to
keep up. Look just on here we have Patrick and Duke/Earl. The
central tenet of most organized religions is Hate.

Personally, I do the exact opposite of what Christians are told to do: I
judge people by their actions, not their words or their professed faith.

I have seen and met "good Christians" who were nothing of the sort --
people who have no religion or who pray to different gods, but who are
honest and charitable and who commit themselves to helping strangers.
IOW, people who ACT Christian rather than PRAY Christian.

They deserve more respect than anyone who claims respect simply by
virtue of wearing a crucifix and funny clothes.

I have seen that as well. The most Christian like group I ever saw
were Wiccans. They as a community were good people and to all not

What I am most against is these religious bodies are surviving on lies, fake stories and empty promises to secure their donations, tithers......

That they do as well as promoting fear. Those in charge worship power

Obama caused me to stub my toe the other day.
It wasn't me mouthing off to my boss that got me fired, it was Obama.
If I win the lottery and have to share the jackpot with five others,
that, too, would be Obama's fault.
