Nobody lives happy and fulfilled lives without God. A life without God
is animal life. A pig may be happy in his pile of shit only for so
long, then the butcher comes with his knife.

Certainly, for sense-gratification, for some bodily enjoyment, there
is no need of God, but bodily pleasures always and without exception
ends in misery and frustration.

Of course, most people confuse sense-enjoyment with happiness. In
fact, they have no experience of happiness except the happiness of
sense-pleasures. They will tell you, that you have to take the good
with the bad, that there is no pleasure without pain. Thus, they are
utterly locked up in the duality of the material world.

Krishna says:

An intelligent person does not take part in the sources of misery,
which are due to contact with the material senses. O son of Kunti,
such pleasures have a beginning and an end, and so the wise man does
not delight in them. —Bg 5.22

Purport:

Material sense pleasures are due to the contact of the material
senses, which are all temporary because the body itself is temporary.
A liberated soul is not interested in anything which is temporary.
Knowing well the joys of transcendental pleasures, how can a liberated
soul agree to enjoy false pleasure? In the Padma Purana it is said:

"The mystics derive unlimited transcendental pleasures from the
Absolute Truth, and therefore the Supreme Absolute Truth, the
Personality of Godhead, is also known as Rama."

In the Srimad-Bhagavatam also (5.5.1) it is said:

"My dear sons, there is no reason to labor very hard for sense
pleasure while in this human form of life; such pleasures are
available to the stool-eaters [hogs]. Rather, you should undergo
penances in this life by which your existence will be purified, and as
a result you will be able to enjoy unlimited transcendental bliss."

Therefore, those who are true yogis or learned transcendentalists are
not attracted by sense pleasures, which are the causes of continuous
material existence. The more one is addicted to material pleasures,
the more he is entrapped by material miseries.

Actually, there is no question of feeling fulfilled as long as one’s
enjoyment is constantly being interrupted by suffering. Anyone telling
you he is leading a happy, fulfilled life without God is lying through
his teeth. Either that, or he is too unintelligent to understand that
he is suffering - like an animal. Animals don’t understand they are
suffering.

Krishna says:

But ignorant and faithless persons who doubt the revealed scriptures
do not attain God consciousness; they fall down. For the doubting soul
there is happiness neither in this world nor in the next. —Bg 4.40

Purport:

Out of many standard and authoritative revealed scriptures, the
Bhagavad-gita is the best. Persons who are almost like animals have no
faith in, or knowledge of, the standard revealed scriptures; and some,
even though they have knowledge of, or can cite passages from, the
revealed scriptures, have actually no faith in these words.

And even though others may have faith in scriptures like
Bhagavad-gita, they do not believe in or worship the Personality of
Godhead, Sri Krsna. Such persons cannot have any standing in Krishna
consciousness. They fall down. Out of all the above-mentioned persons,
those who have no faith and are always doubtful make no progress at
all.

Men without faith in God and His revealed word find no good in this
world, nor in the next. For them there is no happiness whatsoever. One
should therefore follow the principles of revealed scriptures with
faith and thereby be raised to the platform of knowledge.

Only this knowledge will help one become promoted to the
transcendental platform of spiritual understanding. In other words,
doubtful persons have no status whatsoever in spiritual emancipation.
One should therefore follow in the footsteps of great acharyas who are
in the disciplic succession and thereby attain success.

How can people live happy and fulfilled lives without God?
...you mean, how can people live happy and fulfilled lives without the
misguided belief in an imaginary god ? Easy. Because you'd be living a
normal life, with a mind free from the detrimental affects of
religious nonsense.

Imaginary god? Who, except a fool like you would believe in imaginary
things?

Easy. Because you'd be living a
normal life,
Normal life? You mean like the life you live - eating shit, working
hard to buy shit, watching shit on the TV, watching your kids
developing into nice little retards, having sex with the fat and ugly
slut you call a wife? Is that the normal life, you want me to live?

hahaha :) No thanks, Dumbo. The fact is that my life is infinitely
better than the dog's life you have managed to create for yourself. To
me, the life you live would be like living in hell. That's how
superior I am to you in every sense of the word. In fact, I make you
look like a cock-roach. Do you actually think I'd like to live a
cock-roach life like you? good grief. All you have to look forward to
in your miserable, tiny, meaningless existence is disease, old age,
and death. And that's normal? Thank God, I'm not normal. Thank God, I
know better.

Krishna says:

O learned Uddhava, those who fix their consciousness on Me, giving up
all material desires, share with Me a happiness that cannot possibly
be experienced by those engaged in sense gratification.
