Well, we don't really have a choice except before we die. The damned (died in
mortal sin) never go there. The purging is a final cleansing of those headed
for heaven. The damned are headed straight to the fires of hell.

What does a Catholic have to do if he commits a mortal sin? Isn't
there a way he can be forgiven?

From the Catholic website:

Finally, it says that mortal sin cannot be forgiven by such a prayer
- something more is required. That something is, of course, the blessed
Sacrament of Reconciliation, or Confession, through which a person can
be restored to grace, even after commiting a sin which leads to
spiritual death - a mortal sin.

Sin is not something you do, it is what you are.

A murderer is a murderer long before he murders.

And one for you, a liar is a liar a long time before he lies.

Eventually everything comes to light.

The confessional, aside from keeping a persons sins private, is based
upon these verses;

James_5:16  Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one
for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just
man availeth much.
1John_1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
1John_4:15  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God
abideth in him, and he in God.

None of those things speak to a confessional or a private confession.
Plus, who is the "he" in 1John 1:9?

and 1John 4:15 has nothing to do with the confessing of sin.

James 5:16 is public

1439 AD Doctrine of Seven Sacraments affirmed.

There is a history behind all of that, and the Orthodox do not agree
with the RCC on this.

Pity the poor RC circa 400 and thereabouts, were they excluded
because they did not know about these things?

What does a Catholic have to do if he commits a mortal sin? Isn't
there a way he can be forgiven?
Exactly. Be forgiven in the Sacrament of Confession. A shame that all atheists
and all prots reject the gift of salvation for those in sin.

And here's the kicker. Purgatory is not an issue as stated above. If one is
forgiven for his moral sin in confession, he still hurt others. So purgatory is
the final cleansing of the pain to others.

Exodus 34:6-7 New International Version (NIV)
6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the
compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and
faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness,
rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the
children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth
generation.”

I wonder what the last verse means.

Pope Francis says atheists can go to heaven now.

While meeting kids and responding to their questions, a boy went to him in
tears, telling the Pope the story of his recently deceased father and
asking whether or not he is now in heaven. The boy made sure to inform the
Pope that his father, though wanting his children to be baptized, was
himself an atheist.

So what to say to this boy mourning his father and asking for information
on his eternal destiny? Here is the answer given by Pope Francis:

“God has the heart of a father, your father was a good man, he is in
heaven with Him, be sure..."

Yeah, especially as these are the books of the RCC and Orthodox, from
which LG got her training. And only the "priests" are to explain these
books to the unlearned. Books of nefarious values.

look, but turn away from thy servants always a haughty mind. Turn away
from me VAIN HOPES and concupiscence, and thou shalt hold him up

What does that mean?
If God alone decides who goes to heaven, and a Pope tells a kid his dad

Josh was usually depicted talking to Jews. Every now and then
the stories have him deal with a soldier who isn't Jewish, or a
Samaritan. The Chosen People are expected to keep the law.
Gentiles get the short list, and, after Paul and Peter hashed things
out, they get to keep their foreskins.

The alleged Joshites who post here fall down on the "false witness"
and "love your neighbor" instructions.

I'm sure Peter and Saul had their mitvas as young boys as the sign of the
covenant. Saul now Paul was baptized as a Christian, as well in the same or
equal act. The same would apply to Peter.

Jews are born Jewish, they don’t need to be ‘converted’ to Judaism. Christians
are not born, but made. Baptism is the ceremony which enters an individual into
the Christian body of faith. Newborn babies aren’t ‘Christians’ until baptized
(even if that isn’t done until they are years older,

Was that before or after the Resurrection? Before or after the author of
Hebrews wrote that the Mosaic Covenant is obsolete?

"For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no
occasion to look for a second.

For he finds fault with them when he says:

Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah,
not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of
Egypt.
For they did not continue in my covenant,
and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor
and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,'
for they shall all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more.

In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what
is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away."
[Hebrews 8:7-13]

I'm starting to think that you have this obsession with being humiliated
in front of your peers. So that they know that you don't really know
what you like to pretend you know.

I'm telling you this now, and you'll know I'm right later. As long as
you're unregenerate, you're going to be wrong. No matter what part of
the Bible you choose to "discuss" (which you never really do), you will
be wrong.

"They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God
because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

Jesus didn't reverse himself after the Resurrection (at least he didn't
have it written down if he did), and if some unknown author contradicted

So you have no defense for your statement.

What's the matter? You don't feel like discussing the Bible any more?

Just as I thought. You know you're wrong.

You'll always be just as wrong as your are right now.

What do you think the author of "Hebrews" meant when he wrote:

"For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no
occasion to look for a second.

For he finds fault with them when he says:

We all know there is only one God almighty, who can be worshiped the OT way or
the NT way.

The 10 commandments, worded to assist the Jews to respond, are still in affect
for Christians, except that we satisfy them the Christian way ==> Love and obey
God and love your neighbor as you love yourself.

And here's the kicker. Purgatory is not an issue as stated above. If one is
forgiven for his moral sin in confession, he still hurt others. So purgatory is
the final cleansing of the pain to others.
And the fires of Purgatory cause pain, which sits well with modern
Christian theology, which is about burn for burn, stripe for stripe, eye

You make a huge mistake mixing RC doctrines and dogma's with
"Christian theology". It shows not only your bias, but your ignorance

Jesus did not offer reckless forgiveness, it might in a sense seem

And here's the kicker. Purgatory is not an issue as stated above. If one is
forgiven for his moral sin in confession, he still hurt others. So purgatory is
the final cleansing of the pain to others.
And the fires of Purgatory cause pain, which sits well with modern
Christian theology, which is about burn for burn, stripe for stripe, eye
for eye, life for life. It just has fuck-all to do with what Jesus
taught, which was reckless forgiveness.
How do you teach a child to do almost anything?
It is called trial and error, stick and carrot.

If you are omnipotent, you can transfer the knowledge straight
into another's mind.

Religion loves the trick of "the ghod told me, now I'm telling you."
You'd think an all-powerful, all-knowing entity could do better
than a game of cosmic "telephone" or "Chinese whispers."

What does a Catholic have to do if he commits a mortal sin? Isn't
there a way he can be forgiven?
Yep, go to confession to a priest. It's the only way to be forgiven for a
mortal sin against God.

Nowhere in the NT have you seen anyone forgive the sins of anyone, nor
retain them, Jesus was the only one and it is his right to as He paid
the price for all sins. We can forgive people who trespass against us
but those that sin against God only Jesus can forgive as he sees the
intent of the heart.
If the Lord were to direct us to share with people that their sins are
forgiven, then that is fine and proper. He is our High Priest in
Heaven.

No pedo priest can forgive sin, no Bishop or Cardinal who moves
priests about to cloak them from the law can forgive sin, the
hypocrites should not even be allowed to speak the name of God unless
it is to seek their own forgiveness.

Jesus spoke to no catholics while he was alive. He passed nothing to
the RCC, Christ would never condone idolatry in any form.

No, they don't. They believe that Jesus gave them specifically carte

I wondered how long it would be before you used that RCC Chant. Didn't
take you long at all. Pedo priests are sinners and living in sin,
those who defend them partake in their sins.

Not to you it isn't. The same to the deceived RCC. Peter did not live
in Rome, Paul preached there. Jesus called Peter a little rock, and he
called himself the Rock as in the Rock of Gibraltar. and it was on
that rock Christ was to build his church. That testimony rings out
through out the Bible. Peter himself called himself a stone, a little
stone amongst stones such as the believers in his epistles.

You really should get to know the word of God.

thought God was not the author of confusion.
His regenerate chosen are never confused. He only keeps those He has
rejected, and predestined for Hell, confused, like you are right now.

"And when [Jesus] was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him
about the parables. And he said to them, 'To you has been given the
secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in
parables, so that

they may indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they should repent and be forgiven.'"
[Mark 4:10-12]

See how that works?

You're welcome.

He isn't, and should you have studied the scriptures properly as well
as all of the scriptures you would have known that. Peter wasn't one
bit confused, fact is that he considered other believers to be like
minded as he, equal with him in relationship with the Lord.

Hard to grasp? Lol. Yeah, here's what I "grasp", Duke. Jesus said to
call no man 'father' so Catholics call men 'father'. Seems the
"grasping" difficulties are on the Catholic side.

EMAIL @ 0725 HOURS ON 17 JANUARY 2020: "DEAR AMERICAN CONSULATE,

To understand the GROUNDING of PERSPECTIVE as to the significance of
this accusation {---> 2020.9.18, TIME: 11:40 hrs, SUPER: #390 / #39 -
Achieving Oneness, Root of Order...} relating to determined acts of
INFIDELITY to the STATE by our #65 - SOLDIERS / RETURNED SERVICES LEAGUE
(RSL) relating to WORLD WAR ONE CENTENNIAL 2018 COMMEMORATIONS, one
needs to consider the following:

a) Former US President George W. BUSH's comments on 19 SEPTEMBER 2001
being CREATION DAY OF THE WORLD / WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

b) Former US Secretary of State John KERRY'S 24 MAY 2017 statement:
'What is the secret to having a real impact on government?' Well, it's
recently changed. I used to say, 'Either run for office or get a degree
from the Harvard Kennedy School,'" he said. "But with this White House,
I'd say, '*BUY* *ROSETTA* *STONE* *AND* *LEARN* *RUSSIAN*.'"

c) WE FIND THAT THERE IS A *VACUITY* WITHIN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE DUE TO
SEVERAL RUSSIAN LETTERS WHICH HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS PRIOR TO 1750 WHICH
ITSELF CONSTITUTES A CATEGORICAL IMPERATIVE:

#6
#60 <-- ARABIC SCRIPT SIMILARLY ELIMINATES THIS (#CENTRE)
#700 % 81 = #52 - *MEASURE*: TU
#800 % 81 = #71 - *STOPPAGE*: CHIH / *WORLDVIEW*

The Gregorian calendar was implemented in Russia on 14 February 1918 by
dropping the Julian dates of 1–13 February 1918 pursuant to a Sovnarkom
decree signed 24 January 1918 (Julian) by Vladimir Lenin.

#111
#175
#260

<http://www.grapple369.com/nature.html>

FURTHER LETTERS WERE REMOVED IN 1918:

#9 - AUTONOMOUS NATURE
#10 - TOTALITY OF NATURE (SOVEREIGNTY)

WHICH IN OUR INFORMAL VIEW HAS A PARALLELISM IF NOT A PROBABLE CAUSE FOR
THE ABDICATION ON 15 MARCH 1917 / ASSASSINATION ON 17 JULY 1918 OF
NOBILITY. THAT FOREIGN RELATIONS WITH COUNTRIES OUGHT TO UNDERSTAND THIS
PRINCIPLE OF *VACUITY* (LATIN: vacuitās) meaning *EMPTY* *SPACE*,
*VACANCY*, *VACUITY*, *INANITION* being (philosophy) a spiritual
emptiness or lack of purpose or will to live accompanying a loathing and
revulsion.

d) IF SUCH MATTERS WERE IN MIND, THE RUSSIANS WOULD BE LOGICALLY
INCAPABLE OF VOCALISING THE GROUNDING FOR APPREHENSION WHILST HAVING
INTEGRITY (26 - 4 = 22 letters is rational)

IT'S NOT *UNDIPLOMATIC* OF ME TO THEN SAY:

GIVEN SUCH A PROPOSITION WHICH *CANNOT* *BE* *VOCALIZED* IT IS LITTLE
WONDER THEN THAT THERE IS A LINGERING *SUSPICION* OF RUSSIAN INTENTIONS:
#15, #34, #65, #369 ...

AND SO IT IS REASONABLE TO CONCLUDE THE RUSSIAN MIND OFTEN HAS RECOURSE
TO #312 - *CONTRADICTION*...

BUT EVEN SO WITH PATIENT PERSISTENCE, THE IMPETUS OF ACCOUNTABILITY IS
IN OUR PRUDENT VIEW AN ATTEMPT TO ENSURE A PROPER RECONCILIATION AND
INTEGRITY WITH THE EVENTS OF 100 YEARS PRIOR -- WITHOUT SUCH (ie. A
RECURSIVE VACUITY WHICH IS THEN CAPABLE OF *PRECIPITOUS* *DUPLICITY* AS
ESCALATING EXASPERATION) THERE WOULD BE NO PROSPECT OF STABILITY AS
GROUNDING FOR THE DIGNITY OF BEING.

e) There is also then a NEED to resolve the ARABIC SCRIPT / *ABJAD*
NUMBERS *DICHOTOMY* of TWI-TONGUED / JANUS DECEPTION as precipitous (ie.
*HASTY*; *RASH*; *QUICK*; *SUDDEN* / *THE* *BRINK* *OF* *A* *DANGEROUS*
*SITUATION*) impetus given by a VOCALISATION which is *NOT* *RELATED*
*TO* *ANY* *SPECIFIC* *DOGMA*, but due entirely to the *ABJAD* NUMBERS
being used for assigning numerical values to Arabic words in purposes of
numerology and then having an alternative *ABJAD* order as canonical
juxtaposition being applied as CIRCUMSCRIBING:

ORIGINAL ABJAD ORDER:
#60 س sīn s
#90 ص ṣād ṣ
#300 ش shīn sh
#800 ض ḍād ḍ
#900 ظ ẓāʾ ẓ
#1000 غ ghayn gh

ALTERNATIVE ABJAD ORDER:
#60 ص ṣād ṣ
#90 ض ḍād ḍ
#300 س sīn s
#800 ظ ẓāʾ ẓ
#900 غ ghayn gh
#1000 ش shīn sh

f) This *ABJAD* NUMBERS *DICHOTOMY* of TWI-TONGUED / JANUS DECEPTION as
precipitous impetus given by a VOCALISATION which is *NOT* *RELATED*
*TO* *ANY* *SPECIFIC* *DOGMA* is then a non AGGRESSIVE means to QUESTION
/ RESOLVE numerous problems throughout the ISLAMIC WORLD.

g) THERE NEEDS BE SOME PRINCIPLE CENTRE OF VALUE AS ANCHOR BEYOND
SUPERFICIALITIES ... AND IN THE ABSENCE OF SUCH THEN VACUITY CAN BECOME
A WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

EUGENE SCOTT (CNN) @ 1256 (GMT) 25 MAY 2017: "DISMAYED JOHN KERRY SAYS
HARVARD GRADS SHOULD 'BUY ROSETTA STONE AND LEARN RUSSIAN':

Former Secretary of State John Kerry used a commencement address
Wednesday night to rip the Trump administration, telling graduates the
US is not living in "a normal time."

"Democracy relies on free speech. Yes, say anything you want, but it
relies even more on the speech being truthful. It is the truth after all
that sets us free," the former Democratic presidential nominee said
Wednesday at the Harvard Kennedy School graduation. "And the truth is --
no, this is not a normal time."

"It's not normal to see a president of the United States decrying
'so-called judges.' It's not normal for the leader of the country that
invented the First Amendment to routinely degrade and even threaten
journalists," Kerry added. "And no, it's not normal to see the head of
the FBI fired summarily because he was investigating connections between
Russia and the presidential campaign of the very man who fired him."

President Donald Trump has sought to shake off the damaging political
blowback from continuing investigations into his campaign's relationship
with Russia following reports that he fired former FBI Director James
Comey because of the ongoing probe.

Kerry said America's current political conversations very often sound
like those that occur in countries the State Department warns Americans
not to visit.

"I've been asked, 'What is the secret to having a real impact on
government?' Well, it's recently changed. I used to say, 'Either run for
office or get a degree from the Harvard Kennedy School,'" he said. "But

*DATAE* *LEGIS* AS OUR 25 SEPTEMBER 2019 UNDERSTANDING OF THE UK SUPREME
COURT’S #339 - *PROROGUING* JUDGEMENT IN TERMS OF ONTIC JURISPRUDENCE
SOVEREIGN CRYSTALLISATION AND LAWFUL CAUTERISATION OF THE CROWN
PREROGATIVE SO AS TO ENABLE BREXIT TO THEN OCCUR

BEGIN REFERENCE:

"... Could it be that almost all speaking is a saying of law?

A little later in the same treatise, however, Kant restricts the sense
of 'Judgment" to the act of "subsuming under rules, that is, of
distinguishing whether something falls under a given rule or not
(*CASUS* *DATAE* *LEGIS*)" (id. A 132-34, B 171-74). This sense is
borrowed from lawyerly usage, not from logic, for, as *KANT* *SHOWS*,
*LOGIC* *HAS* *NOTHING* *TO* *SAY* *REGARDING* *THIS* *OPERATION*. [<---
WE ARE SEEKING TO ACQUIRE THIS FOR THE BRITISH #390 - SOVEREIGN] There
are, and there can be, no rules regarding the application of rules. If
Kant is right, a sizable part of what we take to be "law," and almost
all jurisprudence, are nothing but a futile striving to overcome this
essenessential unruliness of judgment. How can it be that the saying of
*LAW* *IS* *LAWLESS*?

Perhaps, however, even to lawyers, the essence of a judgment does not
lie in the application of a rule to a particular case, but rather in the
statement, or restatement, of the rule to be applied. If law consists of
rules, and if rules themselves are general propositions stating
obligations in general terms, then the properly 'judicial" in a judgment
would be the stating of rules. The "case" would then matter only as
providing an occasion for such a ruling. If so, 'Judging, "juris-
dictio, would find its most manifest instantiation in what we call
"legislation," legis-latio, from legem tollere, the elevation of a lex,
or statute, to its position of authority, which is always at once also
the corresponding degradation of another.

Kant too, perhaps following this unmistakable *HINT* *OF* *LANGUAGE*,
*FOUND* *A* *KIND* *OF* *JUDGMENT* *IN* *WHICH* *THE* *CASUS* *ITSELF*
*WAS* *MANIFESTLY* *DECIDED* (ie. *CASUS* *DATAE* *LEGIS*), although the
rule under which the fallen case fell was still to be found, and would
eventually deny itself entirely to man's power to say. To this type of
judgment, he devoted the most heroic of his works, which he called a
critique of the power of judgment, KRITIK DER URTEILSKRAFT. There *THE*
*WILL* *TO* *JUDGE* *SEEMS* *TO* *RUN* *UP* *AGAINST* *ITS* *OUTER*
*LIMITS*. In what sense indeed is there still a 'Judgment," that is, a
saying of law, when the supposed "law" withdraws into ineffability?

Had we *LISTENED* *TO* *THE* *HISTORY* *OF* *THE* *WORD*, briefly told
at the outset, this last difficulty would not have come as a surprise.

JEN KELLY (HERALDSUN.COM.AU) ON 18 JULY 2017: “Joan WITHERS of
Mornington, says our story on Echuca’s Swastika Orchestra of the 1930’s
and the original meaning of the symbol solved a longstanding mystery for
her.

She had long wondered about a photo (pictured above) she has of her
mother, Margaret, as a bridesmaid in the early 1930s.  ‘The bride (ie. a
neophyte of Pythagorean Babylon Whoredom and anti-semitism / seventh-day
adventism) had a beautiful (ie. Hell-bent) wedding gown and right out
around the front (on the train) was a swastika embroidered into the
lace,’ Joan says.

‘It always fascinated me, and now I know why it was there.’

A swastika also features in this wedding photo (also shown above),
believed to be from the late 1920s, of John KEANE’s (ie. Irish Roman
Catholic heritage) great-aunt Isobel’s wedding, showing his late mother
on the far right, probably as maid of honour.  The bride is carrying a
bouquet, a horseshoe—and a swastika.

‘Our thoughts are that it was just something you bought from a bridal
shop as a good-luck charm,’ says John, of Montrose.”

1 [often with adjective or noun modifier] a business or organization
established to provide a particular service, typically one that involves
organizing transactions between two other parties: an advertising agency
| aid agencies.
• a department or body providing a specific service for a government or
similar organization: the Environmental Protection Agency.
2 action or intervention, especially such as to produce a particular
effect: canals carved by the agency of running water | a belief in
various forms of supernatural agency.
• a thing or person that acts to produce a particular result: the movies
could be an agency molding the values of the public.
3 Law the office or function of an agent: a contract of agency.

ORIGIN
mid 17th century: from medieval Latin agentia, from agent- ‘doing’ (see
agent).

"BUT BE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES.
FOR IF ANYONE IS A HEARER OF THE WORD AND NOT A DOER, HE IS LIKE A MAN

Jesus was born of Mary and if she would have been infected with
original sin,
then Jesus would have been infected also.
But you just told us only Jesus never sinned. Heb 4:15.  That means Mary
sinned.
Its the old Earl Weber Duke not knowing the truth and when it is

Only Jesus never sinned. Heb 4:15.
So the Catholic Church teaches that Mary sinned now?
No, it's a question concerning original sin which all humankind is conceived
with, except Mary. Which is a belief that since Jesus selected Mary as his
human mother to be, he cleansed her of original sin first.

Well, we don't really have a choice except before we die. The damned (died in
mortal sin) never go there. The purging is a final cleansing of those headed

I admire the way you are not afraid to be critical of God.

Well, we don't really have a choice except before we die. The damned (died in
mortal sin) never go there. The purging is a final cleansing of those headed
for heaven. The damned are headed straight to the fires of hell.
I admire the way you are not afraid to be critical of God.

Not right. No one is made to sin.
And yet, you seem to believe every human ever, except one, has sinned. If you believe humans are designed, that's a pretty big failuere rate.

If someone produced a model of car by the billion, and all but one exploded, that would be rather a poor design, don't you think?

Adam sinned when he disobeyed God. Now babies are born sinful due to
Adam's sin being imputed to them.

Don't forget, you will always be wrong when talking about God, or
Jesus, or the Bible, or Christianity. That's probably why you flunked
out of that Catholic school, huh?

Good advice: you need to decide on another major topic to focus on.

Like Sewing, or Interior Decorating, or something.

You're welcome.

Romans 5:13 For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not
imputed when there is no law.
Adam's sin was before the Law. Now that the Law is come, his sin is
imputed on babies.
Well, no, you're wrong again.

The Mosaic Law was not the first law.

Before the Flood, "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually."

Adam and Eve knew they had broken the only law there was when they ate
the forbidden fruit.

Cain and Abel were both born sinful. The sin of Adam had been imputed
to them.

Would you say the people who perished in the flood were Gentiles?

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature

Paul teaches that the Gentiles "have not the law". So there was no law

No. Neither were they Jews. The Flood took place long before Abraham.

It's amazing how little you know about what you pretend to know.

So, I see that question as a Red Herring. You know you've been had, so

At the time when the book of Genesis was written, when there were Jewish

at the time of the Flood, the time you asked about, they were not called
by that name, since there were no Jews to be distinguished from. So,
like I said, there were no Gentiles who perished in the Flood.

Thanks again for exposing your pretentious nature by proving how little

a deeper darker corner.

Once again, you've proven that you will always be wrong when talking

should find something else to discuss, like restoring furniture, or
banana pudding recipes.

God is making sure that you will always be wrong when discussing
Christian Theology.

"They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God
because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart."

Gen 1-11 is not literal truth
Post by linuxgal
Genesis 10:5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their
lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
From my Catholic Study bible, intro to Genesis

The time period of Genesis 1-11 takes us back to the very beginning of all
things. It must never be forgotten, however, that Genesis 1-11 are not a
scientific accounting of the beginning of the universe or of life. They are
Israel's faith statement of God's activity in the origins of the universe and of
mankind. These chapters use simple language which has been adapted to the
mentality of a particular people in a particular culture. The chapters state
athe principle truths which are fundamental for our salvation, and give a
popular description of how the human race and the chosen people began.

LinuxGal, on a side not, on the page you linked to there was a mention
of the flat earth society as well as they were going to hire or place
a satellite, which is rather amusing how it can revolve around a flat
earth. Anyhow, you used the words of Luke 4:5 to explain a flat earth
thinking for the earth, so I looked it up and here is close to what it
actually says in Greek.

Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed Him all the
kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time [in the twinkling
of an eye]. And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and
authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence,
preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me,
and I give it to whomever I will. (Luk 4:5-6 AMPC)

In verse 5 it is actually speaking of the habitable kingdoms that
existed at the time, over which he had authority as given to him by
Adam at the fall.

The reasoning behind Satan showing him these things and offering him
the authority over all these things without a contest or war, is that
if Jesus, who knew of the pain and suffering he was to endure at the
end of his ministry to regain authority and power over all, that if
Jesus was to bend his knee to Satan, that would have been Satan's
greatest con job, and he would then become ruler over all that God had
if Jesus were to have accepted it. By default, just as he got it from
Adam and Eve.

Just sharing in case you were interested.

That's why I made sure to mention the kingdom of Chin, or China. Also,
there was civilization in the valley of the Indus, where Alexander's
successors (the Diadochi) ruled the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom and Indo-Greek
Kingdom. These would have only been visible from Mt. Hermon on a flat

It says Satan showed Jesus ALL the kingdoms of the Earth, from Phrygia to
Chin, from Cush to Hybernia. That could only work if God set the Earth on
pillars like a table.

1 Samuel 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the
beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them
inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's,
and he hath set the world upon them.

Given the total area of the spherical Earth is 200,000,000 square miles,
