But guess what the sinner Christian dogmatist is?

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Not only is sinner Christianity monotonous and repetitive, but they are
continuously reciting the Lord's prayer without ever truly believing it.
If they believed it just once, they would never have to pray it again.

What does that tell you?

A lot.

It is the wide path of easiness to talk Bible rather than walk the
narrow road and live it.

any), the authors of Matthew & Luke were both copycats:

how to pray in a manner befitting the Heavenly Father”.

Yes, there are lazy religious people who repeat the prayer by rote, and it is
also presented that way in various churches by leaders who are not wise.
Nevertheless, your criticism is just that, and it helps no one. It simply

Dawn, this is for you to see and understand the POV from Gods word as to why
this was written by Dr. Luke as a historical non-Jewish perspective, and this
Dr. Luke also did in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. With notes taken
from [BBC]

Dedication to Theophilus

Luk 1:1-4

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of
those things which are most surely believed among us,

2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were
eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast
been instructed.

Luke 1:1-4

I. PREFACE: LUKE'S PURPOSE AND METHOD (1:1-4)

In his preface, Luke reveals himself as a historian. He describes the source
materials to which he had access and the method he followed. Then he explains
his purpose in writing. From the human standpoint he had two types of source
materials—written accounts of the life of Christ and oral reports by those
who were eye-witnesses of the events in His life.

1:1 The written accounts are described in verse 1:Inasmuch as many have taken
in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled
among us. ... We do not know who these writers were. Matthew and Mark may
have been among them but any others were obviously not inspired. (John wrote
at a later date.)

1:2 Luke also depended on oral reports from those who from the beginning were
eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered ... to us. Luke himself does
not claim to be an eyewitness but he had interviews with those who were. He
describes these associates of our Lord as eyewitnesses and ministers of the
word. Here he uses the word as a name of Christ, just as John does in his
Gospel. The “beginning” here means the beginning of the Christian era
heralded by John the Baptist. The fact that Luke used written and oral
accounts does not deny the verbal inspiration of what he wrote. It simply
means that the Holy Spirit guided him in the choice and arrangement of his
materials.

James S. Stewart comments:

Luke makes it perfectly clear that the inspired writers were not miraculously
freed from the necessity of hard historical research. ... Inspiration was not
God magically transcending human minds and faculties; it was God expressing
His will through the dedication of human minds and faculties. It does not
supersede the sacred writer's own personality and make him God's machine; it
reinforces his personality and makes him God's living witness.

1:3 Luke gives a brief statement of his motivation and of the method he used:
it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent
Theophilus. As to his motivation he simply says, it seemed good to me also.
On the human level, there was the quiet conviction that he should write the
Gospel. We know, of course, that divine constraint was curiously mingled with
this human decision.

As to his method, he first traced the course of all things accurately from
the beginning, then he wrote them down in order. His task involved a careful,
scientific investigation of the course of events in our Savior's life. Luke
checked on the accuracy of his sources, eliminated all that was not
historically true and spiritually relevant, then compiled his materials in
order as we have them today. When Luke says that he wrote an orderly account
he does not necessarily mean in chronological order. The events in this
Gospel are not always arranged in the order in which they occurred. Rather
they are in a moral or spiritual order, that is, they are connected by
subject matter and moral instruction rather than by time. Although this
Gospel and the book of Acts were addressed to Theophilus, we know
surprisingly little about him. His title most excellent suggests that he was
a government official. His name means a friend of God. Probably he was a
Christian who held a position of honor and responsibility in the foreign
service of the Roman Empire.

1:4 Luke's purpose was to give Theophilus a written account that would
confirm the trustworthiness of all that he had been taught concerning the
life and ministry of the Lord Jesus. The written message would afford fixity
by preserving it from the inaccuracies of continued oral transmission.

And so verses 1-4 give us a brief but enlightening background into the human
circumstances under which this book of the Bible was written. We know that
Luke wrote by inspiration. He does not mention that here, unless he implies
it in the words from the first (v. 3) which can also be translated from
above.

Yes, well, that is all I am—not your action at all—according to the
multitude of fallen men. It is a good thing you pretenders aren't God. :-).

Why the hell do I bother with you? You hide in the shadows and fire away
your "wise" humanistic religious ideas from the darkness.

It is the truth that sets a man free, NOT your religion and humanistic
religious practices.

That prayer was "BEFORE" the crucifixion and the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit, which you and your clan are supposed to have and claim to have!

A son of God does not need a formula to pray; He is in relationship and
union with his Father! Do you follow a formula to speak to your wife? I
won't take that any further!!!

It is pathetic!

You people don't believe the prayer when you pray anyway; instead, you
split hairs over the meaning of words as an excuse not to just simply
believe what God says.

Theology does not save, or formulas!!! Duane's downfall too!

How many times does the Holy Spirit have to remind you of that?

GOD IS NOT A BORING RERUN OR A BORING RERUN FORMULA RELIGION!

Never.
To MM; v9 speaks to the purpose of this prayer, “use this as an example of
how to pray in a manner befitting the Heavenly Father”.
Yes, there are lazy religious people who repeat the prayer by rote, and it is
also presented that way in various churches by leaders who are not wise.
Nevertheless, your criticism is just that, and it helps no one. It simply
seeks to defame all others.

I just love it when people think they are so smart and knowledgeable and that
the ancient ones were clueless. People like that should be picked up and
dropped in a wilderness with nothing on them but their clothes, and left for
a minimum of two weeks before being checked on, and see how well they
survived, and how smart they then think they are.

Luke was a Gentile Dr, long before he became a believer. 2K years ago as now,
many are possessed of devils. The Devil is not omni-present.

Since you know nothing of ancient cultures and customs, then what qualifies

are there still wars going on?
right about the ability of man, psychology has not caught up with
technology yet, our brains are still the same as it was 12000
years ago.
There was no human brains 12K years ago,
Huh?
Who told you that?
History
Not human?
Chauvet Cave, France: Paintings
that date to earlier than 30,000 BC
Altamira Cave, paintings at 15,000
years ago.
The Lascaux cave paintings around
17,000 years ago.
A scene of humans and pigs that's
at least 51,200 years old
A painting of a Sulawesi warty pig
that's at least 45,500 years old
There is not one thing which factually supports those hypothetical dates.
It is all, every bit of it, theoretical, just like the theory of evolution.
Like your chosen religion of atheism.

Your chosen ignorance of technology is more than obvious.
Theory is theory, not fact. Dates beyond a known and verified time period are
simply best guesses, and because of that many “proven dates” have been
changed and modified over the years to more reasonable time periods. This has
been verified by science over and over again. That you are ignorant of it
only shows how out of date you are.

See? Right there, you read and did not understand. No reading comprehension,
just agenda oriented thinking which shows the absurdity of your arguments. No
one was speaking of things evolving, and only a willfully ignorant person
would ignore that many things evolve but a monkey, a specie, nots not evolve
into a man, another specie.

On top of that I was specific in speaking of the "theory of evolution”
which only agenda oriented science still holds to. Simply because a girl
thinks of herself as a cat, does not make her one.

They don’t only some and only those that were exposed to it.

Bee’s die every day from pollen collecting on their legs and then plugging
off the holes they breath through, just like the bees did in the time of the

Why? There are many types of sciences and scientists. Many come to believe in
God because of their studies and the order of things, some call intelligent
design, others deal with science that they attempt to shape into their
personal agenda’s.

I have dealt with various sciences all my life, but in things that would not
interest anyone in these NG’s.

:-D

Isotope ratios such as carbon-14 vs carbon-14 can be used to date
organic materials up to about 50,000 years old. Other methods are
available as well:

Amino acid racemization
Electron spin resonance
U-series

Yes, based on theories for projected times based on currently known data, the
same as it always has been. Problem is, when they find an object with a
verifiable date, from some ancient site, or sites, and they find that the
calculations do not match up, then everything needs to be recalculated as has
happened before.

Yes, other formulas are used based on environment and the type of material
being evaluated, such as rock, vegetation, pottery, paintings and so on.

Oh but it is. And that is how age dating evolved, as the original formula
failed in many areas, and the causes needed to be determined, and so it still
in evolving.

Yes, other formulas are used based on environment and the type of material

its not worth it
Oh but it is. And that is how age dating evolved, as the original formula
failed in many areas, and the causes needed to be determined, and so it still
in evolving.
Do you know why people snore more as they age.
It is so their spouse can tell they are still alive when they sleep. :)

There is not one thing which factually supports those
hypothetical dates. It is all, every bit of it, theoretical,
just like the theory of evolution.
Actually, evolution is directly observable in the fossil record, and
even in short-term time periods.

Fossil skulls.
Fossil skulls do not have a time stamp on them, nor a birthdate.

Isotope ratios such as carbon-14 vs carbon-14 can be used to date
organic materials up to about 50,000 years old. Other methods are
Amino acid racemization
Electron spin resonance

Yes, based on theories for projected times based on currently known

I already explained the reasons why they are getting better accuracy. Was
that so difficult to comprehend? Also why they still fail.

Do you find it strange that the sample of Planets etc. that we have gathered
and age dated pretty much was the same as our planet, even though our
environment is quite different?

Which, BTW, matches up with creation as described in the Bible,

No, they're getting better in accuracy because people are learning how

Inappropriate methodologies.

If the ability of man is so much better now than then, then why are
there still wars going on?
right about the ability of man, psychology has not caught up with
technology yet, our brains are still the same as it was 12000
years ago.
There was no human brains 12K years ago,
Huh?
Who told you that?
A congress of idiots.

Human brains have been the same for about 100.000 to 200.000 years.

About 12000 years ago our ancestors decided squatting in the dirt
and starving when the hunt went bad was no longer the ideal life.

If the ability of man is so much better now
than then, then why are there still wars going
on?
right about the ability of man, psychology has
not caught up with technology yet, our brains are
still the same as it was 12000 years ago.
There was no human brains 12K years ago,
Huh?
Who told you that?
A congress of idiots.
Human brains have been the same for about 100.000 to
200.000 years.
About 12000 years ago our ancestors decided squatting
in the dirt and starving when the hunt went bad was no
longer the ideal life.
I have heard one theory that agriculture
was started as a way to make beer. Throw some
grains in a pot, add some water, leave for
while = beer. Hey, how to get more grains!
It’s pretty obvious that you know nothing about beer.

In the earliest known depiction of this motif, this clay seal
from Tepe Gawra, Iraq, ca. 3850 B.C., shows two thirsty
individuals thought to be imbibing beer through drinking tubes.
Or stick stirring the pot.
Thought to be?
Nothing there about water soaking that makes beer.

Now about your claim that humans didn't
exist 12,000 years ago..............
You haven’t proven one thing in regards to this.
"There was no human brains 12K years ago"
Post your proof.
There were no provable humans at that time.
Whan were the first "proveable" humans?
Well?

You already know the truth, bible student.
Just tell us your OPINION on this
provable humans sounds very scientific.

Therefore I asked you a question so that I can properly address your
question.

Yes, He was a physician.
you are talking about the luke person from 2000 years ago??
Yes, of course. That was the context of the post.
so i suppose all his patients had leeches shoved up their butts

If all Physicians are christians, then why do you visit a Dr. or DDS, ?
what??? where in my post does it indicate such a conclusion? 2000

inside you, OK
Luke was a Gentile Dr, long before he became a believer. 2K years ago as now,
many are possessed of devils. The Devil is not omni-present.
Since you know nothing of ancient cultures and customs, then what qualifies
you to give definitive thought on the subject.
its a compare and contrast, 2000 years ago most people couldnt

2000 year old physician... you are surely joking. shaman more

"ancient ones" cannot hold a candle to modern medicine. if you
are sick today, would you rather a 2000 year old shaman or a
fucking hospital?
You are showing the same superstitions today as people did then, to you a
Doctor and a Shaman are one and the same. Why do you prefer sex clinics?

I can give you this, everything you think you know you cannot prove, and 500
years from now no one would know of you and consider you one of the
illiterate and without the ability to read of write in this time period.
People 500 years from now would think of you as you now think of your
predecessors.

However, at the end of the existence of this earth, then it is that everyone
will know what you said and did. Why? Because every idle word you have spoken
will have been recorded in Heaven, and by your words and deeds you will be
judged. Then it is that you can say, “SEE, I told you so”. Will your
momma be proud of you? Will God?

Dr Luke wrote down what was important for him to pass on. You can read all
about it in both the books of Luke and Acts.

You were the one who mentioned Hospitals for Sex. Figure it out.

Science is nothing more than an attempt to reverse engineer what already
exists.

If science could cure anyone it would be non destructive, and without harm or
side effects. Look at all the work done practicing medicine, first testing
out theories on mice, rats, monkeys, pigs, dogs, etc. Then ‘clinical’
studies on prisoners, the dying, the bums on the street who do it for money.

Then look at people you despise who dispense potions handed down for
generations, potions that are known for cures, relief, etc. Done without
harm. The various herbs etc. known for the health they bring. Look at what
cures scurvy and has been known to do so for 100’s of years.

And OTH, look at the people who have been healed by God, through faith in
Him. People that have existed from the known time of the Israelites on. The
supernatural healings of God, and many now are also being healed and
delivered at this time around the world.

No doubt you will mock it rather than do your own research.

still wars going on?
right about the ability of man, psychology has not caught up with
technology yet, our brains are still the same as it was 12000
years ago.
There was no human brains 12K years ago, and what does it have to do with
wars?
LOL!! you are serious about this? no human brains 12k years ago?
it has everything to do with war, because human nature has not
changed since the cognitive revolution 70k years ago.
This earth did not exist 70K years ago. At best it was a formless mass.
without light. And without light nothing can exist.

Did you know that you live and thrive in a naturally toxic and highly

Luke was a Gentile Dr, long before he became a believer. 2K years ago as now,
many are possessed of devils. The Devil is not omni-present.
Since you know nothing of ancient cultures and customs, then what qualifies
you to give definitive thought on the subject.
its a compare and contrast, 2000 years ago most people couldnt
read or write. since you know so much about ancient cultures and
customs, could you give an example of a diagnosis and remedy by
the late great dr. luke??
I can give you this, everything you think you know you cannot prove, and 500
years from now no one would know of you and consider you one of the
illiterate and without the ability to read of write in this time period.
People 500 years from now would think of you as you now think of your
predecessors.
nope. illiteracy was the norm before gutenberg's press, and even
then, it took centuries to even move past 50%.

However, at the end of the existence of this earth, then it is that everyone
will know what you said and did. Why? Because every idle word you have spoken
will have been recorded in Heaven, and by your words and deeds you will be
judged. Then it is that you can say, “SEE, I told you so”. Will your

Dr Luke wrote down what was important for him to pass on. You can read all
about it in both the books of Luke and Acts.
so in effect, your claim that he was a physician is totally false.

"ancient ones" cannot hold a candle to modern medicine. if you

BOOM!!! Massive destruction. Yet you can drink oxygen and need to daily as

Post by In the Name of Jesus
Never.

Luk 1:1-4
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of
those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were
eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
Matthew and Mark may
at a later date.)
It simply
means that the Holy Spirit guided him in the choice and arrangement of his
materials.
Luke makes it perfectly clear that the inspired writers were not miraculously
freed from the necessity of hard historical research. ... Inspiration was not
God magically transcending human minds and faculties; it was God expressing
His will through the dedication of human minds and faculties. It does not
supersede the sacred writer's own personality and make him God's machine; it
reinforces his personality and makes him God's living witness.
it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent
3) which can also be translated from
above.
Hey Robert, good to hear from you!

Of course, the author of Luke was not an eyewitness to Jesus' life, and
it is clear that he did not have access to anyone who was, as evident by
the fact that he, like Matthew, was a shameless copycat of Mark's
account, and in the process, he changed things in Mark's narrative that
he did not like.

Robert,

The scholarly consensus is that none of the Gospel writers were
eyewitnesses to the life of Jesus, nor were any of them in direct
contact with those who knew Jesus while he was alive.

Now, I could post the links to the Wikipedia articles, but what would be
the point of doing that??

I think the above sentence is nonsense. As I read:

What does the Bible say about how often to pray?
Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments
(Psalm 118:164; in the Hebrew Bible 119:164).
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to
pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Or Ephesians 6:18: “pray in the Spirit on all occasions ... always keep
on praying.”

You are off on your own context and narrative. I didn't say anything
about NOT praying. So, your reply is nonsense in relation to what I said.
