Permalinkreally are just unbelievers.
A new day and new things from the Lord.
They do not come to know the Lord personally because they refuse to look
outside of themselves. Everything is always reduced to the level of
their understanding. In other words, if it doesn't compute with my
religion or science, then it is heresy or insanity. Faith, a stumbling
block.
They don't want anything to be out beyond them, and all meaning must be
contained within what they are. Which is worse? The sinner christians or
the atheists? Well, from their seemingly different positions, they are
both up the creek in the same boat.
Thus, "self" remains their God, and while self remains their God, the
great wrong of living for self remains. As for a son of God, he is free
and free indeed (Praise the Lord) of the bondage of self; that is why he
is free of sin and death. Living beyond the self is not a full-time
physical occupation, as you wouldn't bother cleaning your teeth;
however, in spiritual places where the rubber meets the road, Abraham
offered up his son Isaac; Job also went out beyond himself; and there
were some rich young rulers who went with the Lord Jesus.
Many are called, few are chosen.

PS: Can you see by calling the Israelites out of Egypt that God was
calling them to go out beyond themselves? To what end, though? To be
with Him! Wonderful Lord! And so must a "wise in their own eyes" sinner
christian and atheist must do if they are ever to come to know the Lord.

God is God in all His Being. All the glory is His, for He is all glory.
Jesus is the everlasting Father, Jesus is God, Jesus is the Lord. John
10:30 I and Father are one. If you can't see that the Lord Jesus is the
everlasting Father you are not born again and can't see the Kingdom of God.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
YET sinners, Christ died for us.
